“The "Superbike of Scooters"...expensive but well worth it! Brilliant for commuting and longer journeys as well. Excellent engine and handling make any ride a pleasurable (and fun) experience. It feels very safe and stable up to 100 mph and the weight distribution is superb. Loads of under-seat storage to boot! Just beware that you will have to replace rear tyre on a frequent basis...a small price to pay for the associated performance

“Mine is a 2010 Mark III model. Superb ride!
Balance and engine response make negotiating traffic easy. A high seat height, but even with only 29" inside seam I find it easy. Roadholding and braking inspire loads of confidence - I am not an aggressive rider yet my 'chicken strips' are the narrowest of any bike I have (or have owned).
Its great for riding back lanes or nipping into town. I used it twice for long road trips, one of 5000 miles around Europe. It took me up and over the Stelvio Pass in comfort and with confidence.
In 6 years of ownership (and 25000 miles) it has proved to be ultra reliable - with one significant exception - a failed fuel pump. I am a home mechanic and replacing the pump was straightforward and inexpensive. Just as long as I could find a way to avoid paying Yamaha's high parts prices. Routine maintenance and repairs highlight a major downside to TMax ownership. If you are not confident to do your own 'spannering' (wrenching in the USA) then consider buying differently unless you have a healthy bank balance!
Would I buy it again? Yes!!”
“Been a biker all my life 69 years old now had many bikes but i honestly say this is the best bike I've owned . Its reliable , comfortable ,cheep to run , fast enough . If you can put up with the mickey taking about being a scooter its the bike for you”
“it is nothing else but stunning reliable ,well made ,comfortable, controls easy to use ,quite easy to service i change oil an d filters every 3k air filters every 5k and she runs like clockwork only minuses i can think of is boot is a bit small and tyres a bit pricey but stick with bridgestones as its the best for the bike, also sintered brake pads i find the best for the formidable brakes”
