“having had Yamaha YZF125R I am familiar with the engine performance as the WR125X has the same engine although the WR125X accelerates on par but is not as capable at speeds 50+ MPH but this is due to the limited faring and the upright riding position is not anywhere near as aerodynamic as the YZF125R, the areas where the WR125X excels are comfort as the upright riding position is much kinder on the wrists and the seat is more comfortable than it looks although I wouldn't want to be on it for more than a couple of hours at a time, visibility is excellent due to the high seat and upright riding position which gives the rider much better visibility to see and be seen by other motorists, the front brake is extremely powerful and does require bit more control/skill to operate compared to average 125cc motorcycles but you do feel safer knowing you can slow down and stop the bike quickly and efficiently when required, and the WR125X is more suitable for navigating traffic due to the slim body allowing the rider to navigate through obstacles with ease.
To summarise, for navigating traffic in a city/town this is an excellent option that is particularly suited to a taller rider it is a little tougher to get used to than a basic commuter but much more rewarding once you are.”
