“De compressor failed which aids starting.Also OHC Bearing failed causing damage to cams and cam shaft chain. This may have been the cause for the decompression valve to have failed. According to my garage Yamaha dealers, New Town Wales this was a very rare event and put it all down to bad luck. After over a month it was all fixed, a long delay as parts had to come direct from Japan, and a very large bill ( £700.00 ) this inc all work and a small service. Since then the bike has been realy good, fells safe to ride, good acceleration,cornering and breaking. With all the repair costs I would still recommend this bike (scotter).It is a quality bit of kit.”
