The Yamaha YBR 125 Custom is a really good bike for commuting. Even though it's a cruiser, it handles well when filtering and the low seat makes it great for average to short height riders (below 177cm). Pros: - Fuel economy is great, I use mine twice a week and cover with it around 30 miles, but I only need to put some petrol after the 6th, 7th week. - Even though is a 125cc, if I'm riding it alone, the acceleration is not bad and the top speed is around 65-70 miles (engine on full throttle) Cons: - Lacks power if getting out of the city and the brakes are not the best in a high speed manoeuvre. - Some models have a problem with the fuel pump that it will make it impossible for the bike to start on hot days. Replace it and it will work again.

As a returner to motorcycling after 40+ years i am delighted with my purchase. Mpg is good and the ride is comfortable. Only use it for local journeys but it suits my needs.

Fantastic little starter bike, 1 year in and I'm still loving it! It won't go like the clappers, it won't impress at bike meets and it won't do anything over 60 unless it's downhill What it will do is perform like a champ day in and day out, reliable as anything. I dare you to ride this bike without a smile on your face! The only thing I don't like is it's super quiet - quietest in its class, and for the looks of the bike I would have liked it to grumble along a bit more... and word to the wise: replace the crappy stock tires with something decent and you're good (Michelin city-pro are quite grippy in the wet), even got my knee down a couple of times! Fantastic little bike though.

Love my little 125! My very first bike and I really do love it. Super comfortable, and for me, the best thing about this bike, is that although it is only a 125, it doesn't look like it. It looks a lot beefier! I don't go long distances (or haven't in the 5 months I've had it) but it suits me perfectly for scooting around the highland roads of Inverness. Gets me from A to B comfortably, safely and stylishly, especially as I don't have a car. Obviously, there's no storage on this bike, however, I have a back box. Looking at swapping out for some panniers soon! The only less-positive (not quite negative) point for me was the lack of gear indicator. However, I got one retrofitted by my local garage. I'm sure for a more seasoned rider, they wouldn't need one but it has really helped me. All in all, a great bike!

This is my first bike ever and is incredibly reliable through all weather conditions parts are very cheap although iv not replaced anything yet. Fuel is AMAZING £10 to fill on Jet VPower and lasts easily a week on 25 average miles a day! Best thing i ever did!
