“I have been a keen BMW rider for many years and owned a few bikes. Having gone away to Honda for afew years I returned to BMW and bought a R1200GS, a great bike and two years later I bought a K1600GTL, I was bitterley dissappointed with this bike. 1200 miles in it needed a new engine. The bike was replaced new and even that bike had many faults, a year later I swapped it for a R1200GSA Triple black. Brilliant bike for 3 years and 20k miles and then despite beinf extremely well looked after corrosion has started to affect the bike, this should not happen and BMW have not really offered much back. Would I buy another new BMW bike , not a chance. Why would anyone spend £18k on a bike if despite well over the top cleaning and maintenance it dissolves. Wake up BMW you will lose customers in the droves if you are not careful.”
