I like the way it runs, I like looking at it and most of all I like riding it. It is not a very common bike, I think that it is on its way of becoming a classic.”
“This is a great bike. More powerful and lighter than the 1100S predecessor, it handles well and gives a very satisfying ride. Looks are subjective but if you like BMWs - or this BMW - it is a smart bike that attracts people when parked up. Mine had an Akrapovic exhaust and exuded quality from the paintwork, frame and engine. The riding position is definitely sporty and there is a fair bit of weight on the wrists but this can be alleviated by Helibars. Full range from the tank is 150 miles + . Touring on the bike is very achievable. The riding position will do for 250 miles, the tank takes a tank bag and you can either strap on a bag or buy the optional panniers. One thing though, this is not a bike for pillions ! It has a high, slippy seat - 1 out of 10 for that. Otherwise excellent.”
