“Bought new in 2008. I have owned 50+ motorcycles and fancied something different. 17k miles later I am still happy. Excellent grunty engine, fluid handling, comfy ergonomics and good economy. Easy 55mpg in normal use and seat suits my 6' 16stone frame. Just wished I had waited a year and bought the GT when it was launched! Toured Scotland and western Europe and commutes with no problems. Finish has stood up to year round use with only minor paint flaking on engine cases. OE tyres rubbish. Bridgestone BT020s give stable predictable handling and wear. Only issue has been front calipers incorrectly aligned taking out the front discs. New discs and minor machining cured that. I do my own servicing but drive belt has to done by a dealer. £200 inclusive every 13k miles so not a huge expense. Auto gearbox so dealers wont touch it but I have learnt to love it. Lucky enough to own several bikes but I doubt I will ever part with it now. Seriously underated bike.”
