Our model is a 1992 and I bought it in 1994 and still have it. We have done over 40,000 miles on it and look forward to lots more. We have several other bike along side this one but will never sell it. Both me and my wife love it to bits, its still turns heads where ever we take it. Not what every body wants, and not the fastest thing on the road, but for us it has a massive grin factor.

It is an excellent road bike with excellent handling, suspension and brakes. I like the seating position and I have fitted brancanto mirror extensions. The engine is lumpy at town speeds and excellent at realistic open road speeds. The carburation is a problem at high revs and requires careful adjusting which is time consuming. I do most of my own maintenance and will be learning to do valve adjustment in the near future as it is too expensive at Ducati dealers. Spares are reasonably priced and the bike requires regular cleaning and care too avoid problems. It is an excellent looking bike.

Got my 1990 Ducati 900ss as a basket case which was last used in 2004, it's had a nut and bolt restoration by me and passed the MOT without advisories, its a very easy bike to work on and parts are not a problem to source, goes and sounds lovely and even the dry clutch is quiet, all in all a bit special and a joy to ride.
