“The bike really looks good, a few things I have grown to hate, as most Aprilia owners will know , the mirrors you can't see out of if your not very tall , can't select neutral when your at a traffic light, the seat height is taller than what I read about on the statistics I found , so find it hard to move it back , have to get off to push it back , other than that everything is ok .”
“It's not a comfortable bike in a lot of situations. Filtering traffic is a lot easier on my R1. Comes into its own on fast open smooth roads. Avoid bumpy twisty country lanes as the suspension is far too firm. Front brake is too urgent for road use, care should be exercised. The back brake is only OK for filtering and hill starts. Mine has had coolant leaks from new but it never overheats. I bought her new in 2009, one of the last available before the V4. It was run in during Winter and has been ridden at times during every Winter since. Apart from some fasteners and mild steel parts it's still in good condition. Fibreglass tank prevents use of magnetic tank bag, it also scuffs. Not likely to ever sell this bike, I'm 51 but still enjoy riding it. The wife hates my single seat. Get your own bike I say.”
