“I was told that this was basically a female ride and that I should buy a Road King. This may well be the general perception. I have found the bike a complete dream. I have the motor that is in the Road King. The weight is lovely and it handles very well. The brakes are good enough for me . I am 64 years old and no longer scream around, a more sedate traveler.
The convenience of the having a tourer today and sport bike the next make this bike an absolute dream. It has all the things that I was looking for. I love the Switchback. On long journeys and bad roads it soaks up the bumps and it very comfortable.
I have spoken to a number of other Harley riders and expounded the benefits of my bike. As with all things, it is about personal choice. It may not be the most popular motorcycle in England, but in South Africa on the open roads it was out of this world.
There is enough packing space for a weekend and longer away with comfort to spare. On the freeways here in England it is a joy to ride and the country roads a pleasure
