“The Alocasia Zebrina is divine except for the 8 leaves that died through the transit to its new home. I was rather disappointed with the packing for his long journey from Brisbane to Horsham (rural Victoria). The pot arrived dry as a bone and hence I lost 8 beautiful leaves because of it. The cocoa fibres might work well for short journeys within Brisbane but kept no moisture for this long journey. As a plant enthusiast who orders online plants all the time, this was the first time my plants weren’t packed well to retain moisture and the soil is very quick draining which didn’t help. Hence my poor plant lost 8 beautiful and big leaves. This has put me off ordering anything rare and expensive from this company, unless they rectify their packaging for interstate journeys. My plant was sent on the 23rd February and I didn’t receive it until the 3rd March. Losing young leaves happens but to lose large strong leaves I’m not too happy about it. I knocked off two stars because of all the leaves lost.”
