Desk is just great. Feels solid and control mechanism runs smoothly with only a little noise. There were some issues with delivery: desk top sent initially got damaged by the shipping company. That lead to some delay but I contacted Omnidesk and they arranged for a replacement sent via another courier. Support was great - thanks Peter.”
“This is a fantastic desk that really promotes a clean aesthetic in my work/play space. Glad that I opted for the bamboo desktop as it's very stylish. Electric raising and lowering action is very smooth and simple - if a little noisy. The cable tidy tray was a must-buy addon for me, and it works very well for storing excess cable length too. It's worth grabbing some cable wrap too, to ensure the cleanest possible look.
Be aware that the bamboo desktop has a slightly more sticky coating than your standard melamine coating, so you will really need a desk mat to comfortably use it.
Assembly was quite simple, with the instructions being fairly clear. Just make sure you pay attention to the type of screws/bolts used in each step, as they all look similar, however are all different. The only difficulty I had was that the bolts for attaching the legs to the tabletop weren't quite long enough due to the thickness of the rubber grommets, so I had to push very hard to get the bolts to catch the thread in the desktop. This ended up crushing the rubber grommets, however the desktop is nice and secure now.
The pre-cut cable organiser hole in the desktop also has the effect of making the desk less strong in the middle. If you are using a clamp style monitor mount (especially with a heavy monitor like an ultrawide), it will need to be offset a fair way to the left or right of the cable organiser hole to ensure it doesn't break the desktop.
The only other negative I would mention is that their current delivery partner is TNT, who were absolutely useless at communication. The status of my delivery went from "Awaiting pickup in Melbourne" to "Being delivered today (Brisbane)" without any forewarning or notification. I had to scramble to ensure someone would be home to accept the delivery. With a product as bulky as the OmniDesk, you would hope that their delivery partners would be more proactive about keeping customers informed about deliveries.”
“I have had the desk for 2 weeks and so far, I couldnt fault it. The desk has very smooth operation when rising up or down. The cable management bar is a life saver. One small thing to consider is to upgrade the table top to wood as the basic one can leave marks easily.”
“Love the product, it's really sturdy and stable even at the maximum height. It's also strong as it was able to carry my weight when testing the motors. I also went with the motorized power extension (with wireless charging) add-on which is awesome, it makes the table looks futuristic. I would definitely recommend to those getting a table to get the add-on. I also got the cable management tray add-on which is a bit of an essential if you want to make your desk setup look clean. The table itself was pretty easy to setup too, just make sure you have someone to help lift the table to avoid any injuries as it is quite heavy.
