“I didn't buy these for myself as my bike has them as standard ( Triumph Sprint GT ). I purchased for a riding mate for his Yamaha FJR1300, as no bike shop here in Toowoomba will stock them. He went riding last week with mates in the Moore area and stopped after "very spirited riding" stopped and heard hissing from the front wheel. Found to his consternation that the original valve stem had sheared off and was missing along with the extension!!
No, we are not after a refund, but do have some suggestions. Send a warning with the extensions not to exceed certain speeds or withdraw the product from sale.
In the case of accident due to the product failing, successful litigation against Third Gear could be a business breaking outcome. Please accept these comments seriously. We all want to ride safely.
