“I found the tape lacked adhesion even though I thoroughly cleaned the rim. Also the tape tended to bunch up on the inner edge as though it lacked any elasticity unlike other tape I’ve used. Total failure.”
“We restore bikes on a regular basis and this was anew supplier for me, my usual supplier doesn't keep White Rim Tape. Following our usual protocol of painting the rims then Prepsol wipe before application, I was surprised at how 'stiff' this tape was, and extremely difficult to contour with the rim. The tape also seemed to lack the usual tackiness of the tape we usually use.
We managed to apply the tape however after less than one hour in the sun the tape began to peel off, and had to be completely removed to avoid and safety issues whilst riding. Needless to say I contacted thirdgear and received no response. Would not recommend.”
