This was my first inflatable SUP and so far I love it. I am a smaller adult (5'0'' and 107lbs) and I have had a hard time finding a smaller board. I started on a plastic SUP which was very stable and a 3 board, but as I advanced I wanted something more maneuverable. What drew me to the Thurso boards was that their boards get smaller in width as they get shorter. Most boards in this price range offer a shorter board but they are the same width as the longer ones. This makes for a more stable ride and is great for beginners, however if you are petite like me having a board that is narrower as well as shorter makes a big difference when paddling because you won't hit the rails as much and makes for an overall better experience. Carrying the board is also easier with my t-rex arms. The quality is great and I expect it to last me for years. Another thing that set Thurso apart from many more popular brands for me is the quality of the accessories. Having a dual-chamber pump makes a big difference. The bag is well thought out and perfect sized; there is plenty of space for anything else you may want to put in there. The paddle is also very high quality for the price range. The repair kit container did arrive broken, however the customer service was great and they sent a new one immediately. It was probably due to the mail service tossing packages honestly. The only thing I would like to see available in the future would be some flexible and shorter fins available for rivers. Overall a great purchase.
