“I recently sold my Isle board because loading it and unloading it on and off my car was awkward, heavy and time consuming. I wanted the same stability I had with my epoxy board but the convenience of an inflatable. This board is not only stable and convenient but honestly better than any board I've used. For its length and size it tracks well, I'm able to go a decent speed and the comfort is outstanding. Less pressure on my knees and overall a better experience. I got the electric pump and my board is out and ready to use in less than 10 minutes. The paddle holders and extra tie downs are super useful and the quality of everything down to the bag it came in is seriously impressive. If you're on the fence about purchasing, do it! You won't regret it.”

“great. Inflated with your electric pump works great. i'm 195lbs and the board had very little flex, very sturdy. Had some afternoon wind and chop in the water and was pretty stable with the front shape of the board nose curved slightly upwards. i keep it inflated and it drops in pressure only a few psi in a week. straps for the paddle on board is a nice touch. overall i'm a happy customer.”

“This is my first iSUP and first time experience with an inflatable. My previous experiences have all been on a rented Hard Board. I mention that because I feel like the Hard Board was much more stable and I didn't have to ever worry about my balance unless a wake from a boat came in, with this iSUP I constantly have to be aware of my balance and my legs are getting more of a workout than my arms. This board has a really high stability rating so I'm a bit confuse. It could just be it's high for an inflatable? Also, I think a big reason I'm struggling with balance is it feels like I'm riding high. I'm a heavy dude (210lbs) that rides with his 35lbs dog and this was recommended to me by customer service but it looks like I'm almost 3'' above water, I haven't measure it just a guesstimate. I can rock the board side to side a significant amount and when riding it does rock. Balance aside, there's a lot to love about this board. It looks amazing. It's the best looking board I've ever seen. Standing on it feels really firm, not like an inflatable. I wouldn't say the standing pad is grippy but it's not slippery either and since they board rocks side to side I'm glad to have that thing. It's much faster than the rentals I'm use to and the paddle floats which is a big plus. The paddle needed a lot of tightening during assembly but once you got it the way you wanted it worked great. The velcro strap on the board to hold your paddle was kind of a hit or miss though. Like, I tried carrying my board with the paddle in the straps and the paddle always fell out. The strap worked okay when lounging or relaxing on the water, which is what they were really included for, but to be honest I often opt to lay the paddle on the board since it was always a few extra steps to strap them. Maybe if I had a kayak seat I would strap them. I haven't used any of the attachment ring, except to hook my dry-bag onto the back of the board, but this seem to be a 3 addition. One thing that sort of bug me, there was visible cement glue on one of the attachment ring patch. It had spilled outside of it patch circumference. I haven't noticed it in awhile so maybe it's gone now. The repair kit was a nice surprise, I wasn't expecting that. The bag is useful but the wheels are way too small. I've already scratched the heck out of the bag trying to wheel it. I haven't put the bag on my back yet and I probably never will but it's nice to have that option. The pump worked well. I like that I can deflate the board with it. A friend has an older iSUP whose pump doesn't deflate. I've had a lot of fun with it so far and a couple more outing and it would have paid for itself. i.e. no more rental fee.”
Hi Joseph! Thanks for sharing your review, feedback, and photo. It's always fun having a dog along for the ride. Stoked you're digging your new Waterwalker! Generally, hardboards are more stable than inflatables as they sit lower in the water and are stiffer. When making the switch from a hardboard to an inflatable, there is a small adjustment period in terms of balance and positioning. But once you get the hang of it, you'll forget you are riding an inflatable board and enjoy the benefits of a lighter, more durable board. Just make sure you are inflating your board to the maximum recommended 15 PSI to get the best performance. With regards to the paddle carry straps, the paddle shouldn't fall out if they're closed. Let us know if there's a continuing issue there and we can look into how to repair or replace them. See you on the water, Matt Social @ Thurso Surf
