“Overall, it gets the job done, nice design. One small problem is it struggles once the PSI start to increase and makes a loud sound and sometimes turns off before it reaches the set PSI. I have to unplug it from the car and plug it back in to get it to finish the job. But still faster and more convenient than manual pump so I’m happy. Also it could have something to do with my car being a hybrid maybe?”
“Only used it twice to date, worked fine for inflation. Disappointed there is not auto shut off for deflation and a warning about damaging the pump which I think should be included for ease of use. Basically have to still use a manual pump to extract all air for SUP to fold well and fit inside carrying bag. Also could use a 120v connection as you may not only want to charge from your car and instead a regular wall outlet.”
“Had this brand before, a single stage pump though. Lasted a couple years, then died. The new one is a 2-stage which is really fast inflating, just hope it lasts lomger.”
“The pump works good. It is a bit noisy
It does inflate to the desire pressure, not that faster then i can inflate the SUP with the manual pump, still its effortless, you can prep other gears while the pump is doing the job.
To my appreciation it does not deflate as what you reach with the manual pump. So the rolling and the storing in the bag become at bit of a fight. Last time i finished the deflating with the manual pump. It is compact, carrying case is a good quality material and different connectors are provided.”
“It is nice to have the option of the electric pump. My one complaint is I wish the cord was much longer. Depending on the parking situation where you paddleboard, it may be a tight squeeze to have your board on the ground and reach the adapter in your car.”
Great thought Ashley, Thanks for the feedback. The included cord is designed to work with most vehicles but I can imagine a few extra feed being useful, especially for some of our overlanders and off-roading fans who drive bigger vehicles. Hit us up at contact@thursosurf.com with your thoughts and feedback anytime and if you don't mind it'd be great to hear what you're driving. No promises on a change, but we'll definitely take your feedback into consideration. See you on the water, Matt Social @ Thurso Surf
“Terrible. It didn't work from the first try. I sent a note to Thurso requesting return and replacement and have not received a reply. Please reply and replace this pump with a working model.”
Frederick, Thanks for the heads up! Not to worry, we stand by our gear! We've already connected with you via email and sent out a replacement. Just closing the loop here. Keep paddling, Matt Social @ Thurso Surf
