“I've been paddle boarding for a few months now and decided to get my own, this model. I've used it a handful of times now and it seems to be quality, durable material and manufacturing so far, but there a few major misses for me.
1. After trying this, would rather one handle in the middle.
2. Nose of board is very flat, takes on LOTS of water from any size waves.
3. And most important of all, I've been on boards far more balanced than this one, and the whole reason I got it was for that feature to pracitce yoga. You can find better boards for a much more reasonalbe price point.
4. Oh, and the fin engineering is so inconvenient. You have to use a tiny allen key to tighten your fins in and out, easily stripping out the nut. Not pleased at all, tbh. But maybe others find this board satisfactory (shrug).”
Hello Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience with our paddle board. We truly value your insights and want to address each of your concerns to help improve your experience.
1. Dual Handle Design: The dual handle design was specifically integrated to create more space in the center of the board, facilitating better movement and positioning for yoga practices. We understand that a single handle might seem more convenient for general use, and we appreciate this feedback, which we will consider in future designs.
2. Flat Nose Design: The flat nose of the board is intended to provide greater stability, particularly for flat water paddling and yoga activities. It is designed to enhance balance rather than speed or handling in choppy water. However, we recognize that this design may lead to water splash in wavier conditions, and we will take this into consideration for potential adjustments.
3. Balance and Stability: We're sorry to hear that the board did not meet your expectations in terms of balance, especially since it is designed for stability during yoga. We aim to offer the best balance of performance and price, and your feedback is crucial for our ongoing improvements. I will pass your comments to our production team to consider more stable options.
4. Click Fin System: The Click Fin system is intended to be user-friendly, requiring no tools for regular usage in calm to moderate water conditions. The allen key and screws should only be necessary for securing the fins in turbulent waters or rocky bottoms to prevent loss or damage. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated and for any inconvenience you experienced. We will review our instructions to ensure they are clearer.
We aim to ensure that every customer finds value and satisfaction in their purchase. Your detailed feedback is incredibly helpful and will be used to guide our product development. If there's anything more we can do to assist you or improve your experience with our board, please let us know.
Thank you again for your honest review.
Best regards,
The Thurso Surf Team

“Loving my new Tranquility Yoga SUP! Locating the handles to the sides of the deck instead of being directly in the center of the board makes my yoga practice much more comfortable. And the paddle holders on the rails save me a ton of time/energy wrangling the paddle while I'm trying to do fun stuff on the board...yoga, napping, etc.:-)”
