The paddle is great. Very light and doesn't put extra strain on shoulders. Needed to adjust my paddling method somewhat because it just cruises with ease in the water.

I have enjoyed this paddle, but it is definitely different and requires rider adjustment. One generally uses their paddle for many maneuvers, including balance in a choppy waterway. It does not react the same as a solid paddle when you are making adjustments in difficult waters. I haven't fallen off my board in four years but did so three times on the same day with this paddle in a confused wave waterway. I believe it is an adjustment needed on my side, but just wanted to highlight this for the benefit of other buyers. In the end, I believe I will adjust. There is definitely much less stress on the shoulders and my speeds remain consistent.

As I said the paddle is excellent apart for one thing. For me the handle is too bulbous. Its just too big. I love how the slitted blade softens the catch. Absolutly no loss of power or control. All in all an excellent paddle. I swapped the handle section for one from another carbon paddle i had, one with a smaller grip and I now have a very comfortable excellent paddle.

The slitted blade is way less stressful on the shoulders and back and also give a more stable stroke (no flutter) and better grip – love it!!
