“We have laid the 30 x 60cm Lounge Black Polished Porcelain Floor tiles in our cloakroom. The tiles appear to be of good quality, consistent size and shape. But they are not black. They have a smoky effect and appear mid/dark grey. Also some of ours have a pinky hue and some don't so they appear to be two slightly different colours. We were told they needed sealing so we did that, but the sealed and unsealed tiles appeared to handle water the same, so not sure that was necessary.”

Tiles can appear different from batch to batch, or in different lighting conditions, for example, so we would always advise checking the tiles fully before installation, as once they are installed we are, unfortunately, more limitted in what we can do to assist. We can confirm that these tiles do require sealing. The sealant will stop the tiles absorbing moisture and dirt, and protect their appearance.
