“The hexagon tiles were unusable due to being different sizes/ some sides were different lengths. It must have been a bad batch. I was disappointed and worried that I’d not get a refund. However, the customer service was really good. They organised a Collection very fast and refund. I’d use tile mountain again knowing that the customer service is good.”
“Tiles not delivered when arranged. No communication at all of delay. Tiles arrived with different batch code and slightly different pattern. Tiler explained all different dimensions. Not happy. Unlikely to buy online again.”
“These tiles are awful! We used grey grout and the tile just soaked the grout in no amount of cleaning removed it. I spoke to a manager to complain and he was of no help saying we had left the grout on them too long, I eventually had to buy tile paint to cover them even after cleaning them with tile residue remover. These tiles are also advertised as having a glaze on them they do not!! Im really unhappy with the product and the service from this company and will never buy from here again!”
“Arrived quicker than expected but one pack of tiles had clearly been opened before and never boxed properly again. Had 8 broken tiles in it. Luckily I had allowed for this”
“Lovely tiles but had to order 2 more packets (16 tiles) as the main order was full of broken tiles - of course one doesn't find that out until the tiler has started tiling. So having initially ordered 10% more than I needed I was still short by 6 tiles due to breakages. Tiler told me to order 2 more packs (16 tiles) as he was concerned that breakages if I ordered the 1 pack I needed meant that an 8 tile pack wasn't enough!! The 2 packs of 8 still had 3 broken tiles!! Are the tiles leaving the warehouse broken? Is the delivery company lacking care when delivering? Either way it has cost me more money for tiles, more money for the tiler, and more time trying to sort the mess out. Am I impressed - no! So what are the lessons for the future. Probably buy local where it's easier to return tiles as the so called 'good deals' online are great in theory but do not have quality control built in to the final delivery to the customer's doorstep. So - Tile Mountain - my advice is - think twice. I've used them twice because I had to and they delivered with breakages on both occasions - 20% breakages is not very impressive.”
“I bought 20 Palatina marble effect white gloss tiles, 600mm x 600mm. I was happy with the quality of the product and the price but my one complaint was that the only information I could get about the delivery was that the tiles would arrive anytime between 8am - 6pm. Even on the day of the delivery I couldn't even find out if they would arrive am or pm. I paid about £25 for the delivery and I find it hard to believe that it is was not possible to let me know roughly when they would arrive. If I were using the tiles on a job for a customer I would not have minded but they were for my own bathroom so I had sit in and waste a lot of time. That is my only complaint but I would definetely use Tile Mountain again and would recommend them to other people.”
“At least 1 broken tile in each box, actually broken not just come apart at glue seams. Also about 25% had large gaps within the split face where adhesive could be seen and seep thru, unfortunately was under time pressure so had to use these tiles otherwise would have returned. Luckily I had over ordered otherwise would have been really stuck. Shame as everything else from TM has been excellent”
Thank you for your feedback.
I would like to apologise for the damaged tiles received. Had we of been notified within the claims period, we would have been happy to refund/replace the order.
As the Split face tiles are a natural stone, there is no consistency from piece to piece meaning there may be the odd occasion where they are not perfectly symmetrical, and some gaps may appear in the mosaics.
