“The tiler said that a number of tiles broke while preparing them for tiling, and he nerarly ran out of tiles. They are too thin and fragile for the tile size.”
“I found these tiles break or snap very easily.
Although the tile looks very good I found them extremely very flimsy and far to easy to break.A complete nightmare to fit on wall around plugs and even after they set tighten the electric socket screws several broke causing another nightmare getting them out to replace.Would not buy these again.
Had a professional tile to fit at first and he even gave up after a couple of hrs henning myself to do job.”
“They look the lovely and expensive from a distance but that is where it starts and ends for me, the low price comes at a cost and if I had my time again I would not purchase these tiles.
We inspected each box for damages and came away with a few but that was quickly rectified and all the tiles appeared well sized, uniform and flat. However upon installation it quickly apparant that many of the tiles had dot imperfections where there was no colouring to the tile and we found this across a range of different tiles from differnt boxes, there was even some tiles where the glaze was scratched or scuffed. We had to use some of the less than perfect tiles as some were better than others and when we called to see if we could go out to a branch and pick some up the branches do not range this tile and we would have had to wait days to get a set of new tiles that were not seconds. Not ideal at all when you have an installer tiling there and then.
I would not recommend at all and they are cheap for a reason. We did start to check each and every tile however due to the plastic cling wrap between it each tile it made it impossible to place the tiles back into the box without removing this protection so we did have to take a risk and it didn't pay off at all. I am actually really disappointed as we saved for a long time for this bathroom and I had expected better from Tile Mountain.”
