If it's too tight you may strip the inside of the brass tube. So for a smooth alignment give the inside of the brass tube at either end a light file with a 'round' file. This will ensure a perfect fit with the pen component. Once assembled you will have a 'beautiful' looking pen in either 'gold' or 'chrome' trim. !!!”
