“Traditionally 8" Salt mill kits came with a "S" indicator screw top which had a different thread to the pepper mill shaft. However, a recent purchase of the kits came with a blank screw top which in my mind detracts from the image of presentation on the dinner table of solid timber mills. The ones supplied, do suffice, however, you cannot identify which is which at a glance. It would be good to return to tradition.”
