“A very different tool with features not really obvious in photos. First, it has a very long handle necessary to brace when doing deep box hollowing. Its a right hand tool so the Left cutting edge is narrow and slopes away from the cut to minimise drag, just like a Bedan. In the same way, what would normally be the square traverse edge also has a slight French curve to the right to prevent catches, so it is more like a round nose scraper. A lot of thought and some unique feature's that contribute to safe turning, particularly deep hollowing cuts if needed, and great bracing from that extra long handle.”
