“This is my second Vicmarc CBN wheel. The first one was 360 grit. They are both mounted on a Rikon slow speed grinder. I am very happy that I have gone this way. I will be using the 180 grit for the small amount of shaping I will do, plus, I will use it to sharpen my scrapers, as I believe that it leave a 'better' bur than the 360 grit wheel.
My previous sharpening system was a high speed grinder, fitted with grey wheels. This grinder now has the white aluminium oxide wheels that came with the Rikon slow speed. I believe I now have a sharpening system that will out-live me.”
