“The shafts on my old Woodfast lathes are 1" 10tpi, therefore when I purchased my VM100 and VM120 chucks I got the appropriate inserts. Now that I have a lathe with M30 X 3.5 shaft and I wanted to keep my chucks I purchased the M30 X 3.5 inserts for them. These new inserts also have a grub screw to help hold the chuck and insert together. Something the original inserts do not have. I have kept the two 1" X 10tpi inserts as I will, on occasions, use my old (1994) Woodfast lathe again.”
