It improves traction by balancing and shifting the weight from your equipment’s weaker front end to its more solid rear end. This Ballast Box has been engineered to hold up to 1,100 LB of weight; fill it with concrete, sand, steel, gravel, or rocks. It has a sliding front door that quickly empties the box and reduces weight when needed. You can also use the Ballast Box for tool storage. “I was able to get 11 bags of concrete in the box. That roughly a total ballasted weight of 1070 pounds. Works perfectly to ballast my Kubota M5660 when using the heavy Armstrong grapple and working in tight places. No need to fill the tires. Love the receiver, tool holders, and fork slots. Great tool.”

“Nice product. Bought for Cat 2 but size of lift pins don’t leave enough room for my quick hitch to attach. Looking to revert to cat 1 pins and try to get to work. Otherwise good shipping and solid product.”

“This is perfect on my 59 hp Kubota MX5800. With a heavy load in the front bucket, some king of ballast is needed on the back end. Until buying this box, I used either a blade or hydraulic log splitter. This box is heavier and more compact than those two implements - making the tractor much easier to navigate. I’ve filled it with gravel and attached some reflective safety tape.”

“Rugged and well made. A couple of handy tubes on one side to carry shovels or rakes. Filled it with screenings and bolted a tool box to the top so I have a way to carry my chainsaws and other tools.”
