Trimming and maintaining banks, roadsides, ditches, and shorelines can be challenging. Thankfully, our bank mowers are built to efficiently handle overgrown grass on ditches and embankments.
Equipped with forged hammer flail blades, these mowers can cut and mulch material up to 3" in diameter in one pass. The finely shredded cuttings act as a fast-decomposing, micronutrient-rich fertilizer, nourishing your land. The trimmings drop directly to the ground, reducing debris. Plus, an adjustable rear roller provides precise cutting height control, ensuring a clean, even cut on uneven terrain.
The 48", 57", and 65" models are compatible with Category 1 tractors, offering a 65-degree up-and-down pivot and 90-degree vertical rotation for easy maneuvering. The 78" model, built for Category 2 tractors, pivots 90 degrees up and 49 degrees down, delivering a precise, clean cut every time.

Delivery was fast and unit was in good condition even after the delivery driver dropped it out of the back of the truck! Assembled in quick order, lubricated the pins and filled the gear box put it to work! This thing is a beast and didn’t let me down on everything I put in front of it. I’m clearing 10 years of neglect and over growth around my property! Right now my only concern is tearing the Hydraulic hoses off the cylinders getting into the thick stuff it over all the unit is well built and I think it will last even with the tough work I’m going to put it through!

More works as it should just takes a little while to get used to the control controls.

It comes in a wooden crate and fairly straight forward assembly. I cut with it for about 4 hours now around field edges and trails that have not been cut for years. It did a good job on anything I threw at it. Also cut some heavy grass stands with ease. I am running it on a JD2240 50 hp tractor single remote with a multiplier. I have not put restrictors on it but I can feather the hydraulics fine. I may add restrictors in the future. On that tractor you can’t even tell it’s an offset load. So far I am very pleased with the unit. The ID tag should be mounted somewhere towards the gearbox as the far end of the mower gets brushed on continually while mowing brush & scrub. I have some ponds that will need mowing soon so we will see how the units performs on those banks.

Well built and performs as expected with our compact JD. Hydraulics jerk and takes some finessing, but easily workable. Like other, used about 10 hours mowing ditch bankand had two blades come off from bolt coming out and had two other blades break completely off or severely damaged. Apparently hit a rok or something.

It slices, it dices, it mulches, (sorry no Julian fries. re title, yes look it up). One minor, could be better, while awaiting delivery, before you use the cutter, get replacement zeks and get two tube of good grease. I cut at a slower travel speed, than a bush hog, the reward is better finish cut and mulched including unwanted scrub, dropped branches and sapling gone and did I mention mulched....

Worked great as others described the hydrolics are a bit fast need to install a valve to slow doen the motion (note) check all bolts on hammers I did not do so after frist use which was a hard use all but two were lose even with the lock nuts that are installed.

While there are a few improvements that could be made the mower did its job quite well the biggest problem was that material after cutting had no means of discharging debris and clogging up the mower

The 65” is a large heavy piece of equipment. If you’re running this you have a fairly large piece of machinery to carry it. That being said your hydraulic cylinders are small for the typical flow produced by larger machines and it causes jumping and erratic movement. Flow restriction is needed to operate smoothly. Secondly. The take of stands are entirely too short for no reason. Pretty disappointed that I have to use blocks to take off the attachment
