3 Point Flail Mowers Charcoal / 60" Reviews

4.4 Rating 42 Reviews
Read Titan Attachments Reviews

This mower attachment is ideal for maintaining vegetation such as grass, overgrown brush, and vines. Its fast blade speed makes it perfect for managing your fields, orchards, vineyards, and other farm properties.

Featuring forged hammer flail blades, this mower cuts and mulches materials up to 3" in diameter in a single pass — then shreds your cuttings into fine bits of quickly decomposing grass that are dispersed across your lawn to nourish your land as micronutrient-rich fertilizer. And trimmings fall to the ground instead of to the sides, reducing potentially dangerous projectile debris.

Attach your mower to any Cat 1 tractor or loader with a 3 Point hitch for easy installation. This mower is powered by your machine’s PTO. For optimum power and capability, we recommend using a tractor with a minimum of 30 HP and a maximum of 60 HP.

Plus, an adjustable rear roller allows for precise cutting height control, even on uneven ground. That means you get a clean and even cut, no matter the terrain!

Overall the mower is great and I really like the way it cuts our pasture. Easy to use once set up and quieter than a brush hog type cutter. Quality of cut is similar to a zero turn mower when the grass isn't over 1'-2' tall. Couple issues I ran into though, the first is that the grease fittings are garbage and should be replaced with better material. I snapped two of them just during the initial grease up. The other is that the manual online doesn't reflect the latest design of the mower so I had to verify that there wasn't any oil ports on the transmission shaft as it says in the manual. Customer service is good when you can get hold of them. I tried on three separate occasions to use the online format for submitting questions and I never received a response on any of them, I had to call each time. They never return your call if you do use that option when call so you'll have to be on hold till someone picks up. I know they're probably busy and with COVID it adds more issues but you should still be able to respond to your customers in some way or another in a timely fashion.

This flail mower cuts everything from short grass to 8 foot tall weeds very well. A few weeds didn’t get cut off completely so just ran over it a second time. 3” branches lying on the ground didn’t bother it a bit. For this application it did much better than my rotary cutter.

It cuts through all the grass and weeds just like I wanted it to. This seems like a small thing, but when they painted the unit they painted over the grease zerks, so I had to scrape paint off before the grease would go in. The zerks are kind of cheap-- one broke, another never would take grease. Had to swap around zerks to get everything greased. Spend a couple bucks and use quality zerks, guys. Otherwise, the unit itself seems well built and sturdy. The pulleys appear to be cast iron so I expect them to last longer than aluminum pulleys would. Heavy steel body. The gearbox holds more gear lube than I thought, which is good. The roller bearings took a LOT of grease, but again, that's a good thing, unless you're short on grease. Make sure you have at least 2 tubes-- you'll need it. Except for the substandard zerks, I give it 5 stars.
