The Flail Mower with Hydraulic Side Shift is designed to make easy work of maintaining vegetation such as grass, heavy undergrowth, and tree prunings. With the ability to slide 8" in either direction (left or right), this flail mower makes those hard-to-reach areas an easy cut!
Featuring forged hammer flail blades, this mower cuts and mulches materials up to 3" in diameter in a single pass — then shreds your cuttings into fine bits of quickly decomposing grass that are dispersed across your lawn to nourish your land as micronutrient-rich fertilizer. And trimmings fall to the ground instead of to the sides, reducing potentially dangerous projectile debris.
Attach your mower to any Cat 1 tractor or loader with a 3 Point hitch for easy installation. This mower is powered by your machine’s PTO. For optimum power and capability, we recommend using a tractor with a minimum of 40 HP and a maximum of 50 HP for the 60" cutting width and a minimum of 45 HP and a maximum of 55 HP for the 42" cutting width.
Plus, an adjustable rear roller allows for precise cutting height control, even on uneven ground. That means you get a clean and even cut, no matter the terrain!

“Great mower! I made short work of cleaning up the underbrush in several wooded areas on my property. Turned a several weekend job into a 1 day job. Absolutely shreds 3" and under hardwood trees and brush. Turns small trees and brush into mulch. Very simple to assemble. Only complaint would be that the grease zirks on rear roller were pointed towards ground. This is easily fixed by removing a couple of bolts. The hydraulic slide allows you to have the mower centered behind tractor, or you can shift it 16" to the side. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone with an acreage. I am using it on a JD 4710 47HP tractor. I also use it to shred my standing corn in food plots. Removes corn from the cobs and leaves food readily available for my wildlife. Gear box does not come with fluid, so you will need to add gear oil prior to use. There is a lifting eye next to gear box. I used this to pick unit up during assembly of unit. If you can tie your shoes, you can assemble this in under 1 hour. There is a shear pin on one end of the PTO shaft. I broke the original and have used 5/16" bolts to replace. This repair takes less than 5 minutes.”

“I have used this mower on 4 acres so far for the first time using. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars due to the following. This is not shipped with any kind of manual so trying to figure things out at my farm out in the boondocks with no cell service was a challenge. The gearbox oil level plug is located behind the pto shaft cover as well as the grain plug. It would be much easier accessible if these were located on the back side of the gearbox. It would also be helpful if the manual provided any kind of cutting heights per the back roller height settings. The biggest challenge was the pto shaft came missing the shear bolt. When I reached out I was not given not one, but two incorrect replacement bolt sizes. They do not carry these parts on hand and I really struggled getting it being over an hour away from any kind of store but they did say they would cover the cost. I sent them the invoice currently waiting for reimbursement for that. Other than those small things the mower worked great on first use.”

“I'm still waiting on the hydraulic remote kit for Kubota to operate the side shift but we were able to get it assembled easily and mowing in a few hours. The cut quality in grass was as expected for hammer flails(were not mowing a park here!) But when doing what it was made for it pulverized the small fallen branches easily leaving the waste for nature to do its thing. We only have a few hours on it so far but are happy with the performance. Its on a Kubota MX5400 which is easily running the flail on the back and a LaneShark on the FEL. Thus far the only improvement I would make would be having some seals on the linear slides. After putting some grease in them some globs smeared on the rails which rapidly collected abrasive dust that will wear on the bushings when side shifting in the field.”

“Arrived on time enclosed in shipping container. The blades are heavy duty as is the whole unit. I got it on sale and it is well worth the price. So far it works quite well.”
