Slice through unruly and dense vegetation with ease. This PRO series rotary cutter is ideal for tackling grass, tree saplings, and large areas of dense brush and is compatible with Cat 1 tractors with a rear 3 point hitch. This mower features a low-noise cast iron gear box designed for tractors up to 75 HP at 540 RPM and comes with a shock absorbent slip clutch PTO shaft that connects directly to your power take-off.
The solid rubber tail wheel has adjustable height settings — ideal for tight turns and setting the cut height from 1.2 to 12 inches. And it mulches up to 2" diameter material with a rear discharge to disperse your trimmings behind your mower for a tidy look that nourishes your land. Replaceable sheer blades and replaceable skid shoes included.

In truth, I haven't used this cutter much yet but it was easy to assemble and seems to be very rugged. The 60-inch model looks much bigger than I expected so I'm glad I didn't get a bigger one. As shipped, the cutter comes in a steel cage with all sub-assemblies wrapped in bubble wrap and secured to the deck with tape and wire. All fasteners were stored (loosely assembled) in their final holes so no need to hunt for the correct fasteners and the bubble wrap ensured nothing got lost, even if a nut vibrated off. To move the shipping cage with forks you will want at least 48-inch forks because of the cross-brace locations on the bottom of the cage. Alternatively, you can use a strong cargo strap to hold the far end up so shorter fork tips don't damage the stump jumper or blades. To extract the mower from the shipping cage, I first removed all the bundles of parts to reduce weight. Some "bundles" were surprisingly heavy, like the tail wheel. Then after unbolting the cage's removable angle iron sections, I slowly hoisted the bare mower deck up and out of the cage with a loader and a rope tied around the gearbox. The other approach would be to cut away enough of the cage and assemble the cutter enough to use your three-point hitch. The gearbox is shipped dry and you will need a LOT of gear oil, about a gallon. The skid plates are a nice feature although things (like vines) can get wedged between the skid plates and the deck. On my first pass the cutter "found" a low stump that was obscured. There was a lot of noise and vibration but the cutter was unphased. I'm impressed by the overall build quality, ruggedness, and premium features (like chains, slip clutch, and heavy-duty gearbox) of this cutter. One final comment: There is no way the shipping crate would fit in my pickup; so the included delivery to my farm was worth a lot to me. A competitor offers free delivery but only to a "nearby" freight warehouse (like 30 miles for me) so I would need to collect the item. That may be fine for smaller things but not this monster.
