I use this adapter 1 time to dig a single post hole 9" wide by 30" deep. In the 2 minutes (babied it) it took to dig the hole through red clay, and then inspecting the adapter, it already showed signs of wear on the holes which attaches to the auger. Holes had already started to wollow out, which caused the metal to protrude, thus making it difficult to get adapter to fit into a 2" female auger bit. Granted, the adapter bolt hole was 3/4" in size if I remember correctly, and the hole size for the auger bit I used was smaller, 1/2", thus making it so the holes did not line up perfectly. But i was surprised that after digging 1 easy hole, the adapter was already showing stress wear. I do not see this lasting long. For the $150 price point, I expected a higher quality product/steel.
