Battery location is bad. Finding last two feet kicks back at the operator. Not sure if third blade would help. 1st day was a learning curve. I quit cutting things shorter (kickback) and put it in full length. Chips are medium size and fine for the goats bedding. Battery location and mounting is all wrong.

This would have been a 5 star review. But this chipper requires assembly (no big deal), however there are literally NO INSTRUCTIONS, No videos or helpful website links. I found a youtube video of someone assembling a similar chipper and used that for reference to get started. It wasn't hard to do, but requires 2 people to assemble safely. As for the machine, it works really well. Built sturdy and heavy. Came with extra blades and belts. The tools they send with it are a joke. You'll need a socket set, adjustable crescent wrench and a phillips head screwdriver. We ran it for 2 hours clearing out a huge pile limbs and saplings. It self feeds mostly, and chews up a 3" sapling without bogging down much. It doesn't know when it has to much, so be careful how much ya shove into the hopper at a time. We have yet to test if it'll eat a 5" limb yet, but I think it will do the job. Shipping was super fast and it arrived damage free. Honestly, if they did an assembly video and made it available, this would be 5 stars. Zero complaints about machine or shipping.

The wood chipper works great. The instructions that come with the machine and the on-line manual are terrible. I had to search youtube videos to understand the wiring for the intake chute pressure switch. There is a grease fitting on the machine, but the manual states it does not require grease, so not sure on that. Besides the lack of info for assembly and maintenance, the machine is a beast.

The chipper did not come with assembly instructions but was not too difficult to assemble. The unit will self-feed (for the most part), but does not know when it is overloaded. The belts started slipping on the 3rd branch and started smoking. After letting everything cool down and re-trying, it has worked very well as long as you regulate how fast larger branches are fed into the chipper. All in all, the chipper has performed well and i would recommend it to others, noting the items above.

Free shipping cost $75. No Assembly and maintenance manual. What you get is a little more than a sales brochure. Contacted Titan by phone and email. Next to no help at all. I’ve been pretty much ignored by Titan for weeks. I did manage to figure out how to assemble it on my own. Then it would not start. Spark at very low RPM only. No help from Titan or Briggs and Stratton. I checked all the switches and emergency shut off and all were working fine. Traced all the wires back to a relay that was not working. Again no help from Titan or Briggs & Stratton. After many hours of working on this chipper I managed to get the relay working, probably by magic. Now it starts like it should. The 13.5 hp motor is way too small to chip 5”, it’s stalls out and belts slip on 2 1/2”-3” cedar and pine limbs. A 20 hp might work better. With no service or maintenance manuals, there are no directions or specifications on tightening the belts. It comes with a tool to change the blades but again no maintenance or service manuals on how to do it or what the clearance specifications. Heck, they don’t even tell you tire pressures. Once it is up and running with tight belts it works well on 2 inch dry pine and cedar limbs. Make sure to have a well-stocked toolbox, it will vibrate every nut bolt and screw loose.
