Still consider this a great value and give it five stars even though there have been a few minor issues. My issues were resolved by pallet forks with no hassles, great service within the warranty period. Would not hesitate to buy from these folks again. So after 15 cords of maple, beech, ash and birch I am still very happy with the unit. The motor seems very well built. Plenty of splitting power. I load the lift full no problem. The battery has been replaced with a used motorcycle battery I had kicking around. The bolt on the four way is not adequate to hold it in place. I was able to slide a piece of 1/8 inch flat stock between the four way and the main wedge. Drilled some holes in the flat stock, tacked welded it to the wedge and now I can lock the four way just where I want it. The log catch drops more splits than I would like. I will add some square stock to fill the gap at the wedge end of the catch. Fuel efficiency seems good. I can split 1&1/2 cord on a tank. This is keeping the motor at full speed and

This is keeping the motor at full speed and splitting by myself. Might do a little better with two people working the splitter. Overall this unit is a pleasure to use and I am very happy with the splitter and pallet forks.

As others have said this splitter is an animal. I have put three cords of 20 to 24" green maple blocks that my previous pto driven splitter was choking on and all was split easily. The lift is a joy when handling these blocks. No problems burping hydraulic oil. I put in 12 gallons of oil with a defoamer additive. The first time the hydraulic pump kicked into its high pressure stage one of the wings on the 4 way broke off. It was a poor quality weld. I welded it back on and put the three cords thru with no problems. I suspect the trainee welders are put on the 4 way station. All other welds on the unit look good. The PROs Great price Quick shipment and well packaged Log lift Catch tray Plenty of power, although not 37Tons, according to the documents the press relief is set at 2200 psi and a 5" diameter cylinder. Do the math about 22 Tons. Maybe 25 if the relief pressure is adjusted. However still plenty. Nice engine, did some research on this motor. I think it has a cast iron cylinder sleeve, and crank shaft w

What a nice machine! I've had my new splitter just over a month now, and i love it!! I can split more wood in a half hr, than I can stack in 2 hrs, and still be standing! Overall , its a great machine. I've made a few changes to make it more user friendly for me. Havent found a piece of wood i could'nt split and all the wood I've split has been up to 3' dia red oak. So anyway..... Would def. recommend this splitter to anyone serious about production. I usually put my loader bucket under the cradle and push the split wood right into the bucket, so it makes the process that much easier. So anyway, I'm very pleased with machine!!!!!!
