“I have been using a chain-on bale spear with a JD3038/305 loader to move round bales. This worked fine, but the foot and half that the bucket held the bales out make the tractor very unstable - any change in terrain or abrubt move would lift one or more tires off the ground. The hay spear frame arrived in excellent condition despite being scratch and dent. There was clear cosmetic damage but nothing more than the first week of use might cause anyway. It took about 5 minutes to swap my main spear and stabilizer spears onto the frames and another 3 minutes to drop the bucket and pick up the frame (it was a good 10 minute process to put the chain-on spear onto the bucket). Using the frame, the tractor is way more stable - no tipping or wheels lifting, and also because the bucket is not in the way, it is much easier to see. I have had my loader tractor for about 8 years now and never needed to remove the bucket. I was hesitant to buy this frame wondering if that was going to be more difficult that the chain-on process. Much to my delight it is way less physical of a process and considerable faster. I would definitely recommend this product.”
