“Surprised at the height of this bin, as despite saying 42L it was much shorter than my old bin which was also 42L & it didn't seem wider... So far I've had it a few months without needing to change the batteries. It needs 4, which is a lot for what it does. The sensor itself can go off when I walk past it, but sometimes I wave my hand directly above and it doesn't open! This isn't often though. It only stays open for about 10-15 seconds using the sensor, which is a pain when you have several plates to scrape off. Whereas if you press the open button instead, it will stay open much longer (around 1 minute). The lid is quite deep, so food scraps can go into the workings when you're scraping crumbs in it etc. but I give it a brush when I empty it, which usually does the trick. I was expecting a metal lid, but it's metal effect plastic. It is quite stylish looking though & my 9 year old loves it, but my 3 year old is scared of it (she doesn't like the noise, which although not loud, is quite annoying!)”

“Received this Bin a few days ago. I am very pleased with it. It is very neat and fits into quite a small space but still has a generous capacity. The bag holder is a great idea. In my opinion very good value for money. So far I have no criticisms to make”
