“Great boots. I wear riding boots, wellies, yard boots, or country boots everyday. Pretty much live in them. I usually go for country boots because dual purpose for yard and riding whereas muckers just get full of bedding and hay. However I have quite skinny legs and although I like being able to tuck my phone in my boot, the country boots are a bit wide when riding and have started catching on the saddle. I also find on really really hot days the lining tries to come out and my foot gets stuck when trying to pull boots off. (Not a Toggi boot I must add). So this time around (my boots usually only last a year, two if I'm very lucky) I went for these Toggi Calgary boots - after reading a couple of good reviews - with a zip to get around hot day problem. They're great! Really comfy to ride in and my lower leg and foot feel much more secure. I find them a little high behind knee when I am skipping out (I use a glove and a bucket so there's a lot of squatting) but if I undo zip a fraction and have closure Velcro undone they're great as a yard boot too. And I think with wear the leather will soften behind knee anyway. They keep hay out when filling nets because a closer fit and have enough room around my feet without looking wide. They don't fit my phone down but maybe I should invest in jodhpurs with bigger pockets! I am really pleased with them. We'll see how long they last but they're a Toggi so should do well.
