“I really love these board shorts, and this brand and style has given me confidence to take my plus-size trans and nonbinary bod to the beach and the streets this year for the first time in maybe ever. The patterns are super fun, and I particularly love the coordinated set with the cabana shirt. However, the sizing chart is so, so off. I ordered an older style of the board shorts in my regular size (2X) and found them to be quite snug at first, to the point that I nearly panicked and sent them back. But with a little bit of wear around the house, they eventually stretched out to the perfect size. Upon ordering another pair in the new style, I read some feedback that they ran even smaller, and I sized up to a 3X and did the same with the matching cabana shirt. The sizing is all over the place! The shorts fit just as snug as the old pair despite being a whole size larger, and they are not made for people with a generous booty and sag in the back. Meanwhile I was swimming in the cabana shirt. (For the record, I am always the same size up top as I am on the bottom and have a chest and hips that are roughly the same measurement before I bind.) Because I'm in Canada, having it taken in is a cheaper option than sending it back and ordering a new one in the correct size. Make it make sense! Tomboyx, I love your stuff, but please sort out your fit and sizing for bottoms! I know the shorts will likely stretch out just like my other pair, but it's really tough to have to do size guide algebra when the measurements listed match my body, then end up being totally off on the garment itself.”
