“Runs small around the waist and hip area, this swim trunk is bad for autistic people who get overstimulated with wet fabric sticking to them. It's very hard to put on after taking them off to do your business.”
“The quality is great, the pockets are sizeable, but the waist and legs are overly generous in size. I wear a size 2 (about a 26.5" waist), and the XS was too large. Unfortunately, the extra 2" of fabric added to the waist bunched up when I tied it, and I couldn't cut it out since it's connected to the mesh. Really a shame. I was looking forward to wearing these. I'd really like to see these in a XXS or in the old style, which sounds like it didn't have quite as much extra space.”
“I was so excited to see these come back this year since the Hawaiian pattern last year sold out pretty fast, so I'd been waiting for about a year to order these. I was totally sold on pockets and the print as a poolside coverup.
I was really disappointed by the fit. There's a ton of extra fabric in the front, so those of us in the size 2-4 range (XS) likely won't be able to wear it without creating a huge bunch when we tighten the drawstring. (I'm about 26.5" for waist size.) I really wish I could just cut the extra fabric out, but it would structurally damage the boardshorts. If you have thin legs, even if you're tall, the legs look baggy. I love a lot about the company, but more often than not, it feels like the clothes aren't designed for thin/muscular frames.
I'd love to be able to purchase last year's style which sound like they were better suited for a thinner person and/or find this year's board shorts in an XXS.”
