“Okay, so I've never owned long johns before, so I guess I didn't know what to expect. I was expecting more of a legging quality, but they are not that. They are see through a little; I wore dark undies and you could see the outline of them. I would wear them out in public if I had a long enough top to cover my bum.
They are very, very comfy though. Not terribly warm on their own (I live in Montana and it's been below freezing since mid-October), but I'm sure they would be nice layered. I hate layering clothes, so I won't be doing that, but I could see them being a great base layer for skiers and such. I can see them being a nice thin pair of pants for summer around here, too.
They run a little big in my opinion, as I'm finding most Tomboyx bottoms do. I'm usually a large, and got a large, and I could've probably gotten a medium. They're not as tight as I'd like, with a little big of loose fabric by my belly, but they don't sag with wear. I wore them for two days straight and they kept their form fit on me, so I'm keeping the large. I think you could get away with a size down if you want a tighter fit.
Also, I adore this print. It's one of my all time favorites. It brings me so much joy!”
