“The waist band rolls down when I am working out in the pool. If I were just laying about in sure they would be fine. From trying them on they for great so I ordered a second pair before even getting the first pair in the water. I used the first pair under my wet suit, it was still kinda chilly, they were fine but without the wetsuit, the waist band rolls down to my bikini line, not quite the look I'm going for during a workout. Customer service did step in and help to make things right for me, but just be aware of you are active in the water these might not be the best option”
“I love the length and pocket. I've got a couple other swim shorts from TomboyX and they had a more textured and black liner inside. This one is double layered but not the same. Not sure if it's just that or the light colors, likely a combination of the two, but I feel much more exposed in these shorts than the others I own. Definitely some extra 'details' showing with these. Still great though, just going to toss some running shorts over top it in public.”
“I bought these in the Fall (along with the matching racerback zip-top) and absolutely LOVED them. They enabled me to work as a swimming instructor, a job I love, without as much gender dysphoria as I normally experience. However, they did not stand up to the amount of time I spend in the water. I'm used to going through swimsuits quickly as the chlorine does do a number on them, but I'm disappointed in the quality of these swim shorts for the price I paid. They feel like a similar material to swimsuits that have held up for 1-2 years, but these shorts have become quite stretched out, thin, and bleached in colour (at least the waistband), in only 7ish months. The top has held up better, but the elastic band has still been bleached from its original colour. I thought TomboyX swimsuits would be the solution to my gender dysphoria, and they might be for a casual outfit to wear around the pool/lake in the summer, but for work, I'm going to have to find another brand.”
“Stays put and allows me to swim, water slide, snd body surf without fear of losing my swim suit.
They’re also great to hike in. I put a towel done when I’m going to sit so they aren’t torn up by rocks.”
