“The actual absorbent area might work if you are a small woman and don't plan to sleep in them. Sleeping in them will result in a leak either in front of behind. While the leak was not huge it's still a pain to have to wash my sheets because of it. I now am looking for a long boxer style with better front and back coverage.”
“I really, really wanted to love these, especially because my first pair of tomboy x briefs were the most comfortable underwear in the world. However, these did not do what I needed them to do.
I would note, I am not using these for periods, but will say (and explain below) why I would not use them for my period either.
I have a skin condition that often means I have some bleeding down my bikini line and thighs, which requires I either used a lot of gauze in the areas or wrap panty liners along my thighs. I reached out to customer service before ordering them to ask whether the claim that the outside fabric was also leak resistant applied to the thigh area as well, and was told that it did. That does not appear to be the case. While the area right below the gusset was totally fine on the outside despite some bleeding into the gusset, they did in fact leak onto my sweatpants from my thighs. Granted, it was likely not as much as would have happened with other underwear, but it was enough to make me thankful I tried them on first during the weekend. I will be trying them again this next weekend and should my experience be different, I will update my review accordingly since I know there is always room for user error.
The reason I would not wear these for my period is that the gusset is incredibly short and the way it sits feels weird. If I were on my period, unless it was my absolute lightest day, the area would not be enough to keep me safe from leakage. It also juts out strangely. That being said, they are the only period panties that do not feel like a diaper, so if you have light cycles and a small area to cover, these may work for you.”
Hi there!
Customer feedback is a vital part of our business and how the company originally started, so we are always anxious to hear what people are looking for next.
The length of the pad is dictated by the width of the gusset. Since the pad is attached to the gusset, our Product team made it as long as possible without causing the gusset seam to be too wide and lay uncomfortably on the body. We do have some exciting changes coming to this item soon - stay tuned!
