The additional grip of the shorts around the thighs made everything feel nice and secure. The pad was held firmly and evenly in place throughout both day and night. The durable waistband is probably the best aspect of these trunks, though it does run across the belly button. I don't like that feeling when menstruating, but simply folding the waistband over itself had the trunks sitting lower yet just as secure.
