“I'm 5'3" and I have wide hips and thicker thighs that don't necessarily match my waist measurements. I was a bit scared of the sizing (since it says to trust the hips) but I was surprised by how much I liked the fit. My first TomboyX order ever was a Last Chance order where I ordered one pair of a cute print of the 6" Fly spontaneously, but that pair ended up being my favorite part of that purchase! I've also ordered other types of their underwear (4.5" and the Iconic Briefs) and—while the fabric is so, so comfortable—I've got to say that the 6" Fly is the absolute winner for me. As a shorter, thicker person, the 6" Fly is perfect because it's just the right length for me to prevent chafing. It hits right at mid-thigh for me (which actually doesn't work for the high-waisted, shorter length skirts that I own), but I'm pretty sure now that the 9" would hit right at my knee and that's too long. Also, I'm the type of person who likes mid-thigh shorts over boy shorts, and I also do not like to wear pants around the house. I plan on especially using these as the perfect lounge shorts in warmer weather!”
