“I really wanted to like this product. It was my first from TomboyX, and I originally ordered 2 at 2X, which is what the sizing chart suggests. I'm 5'6", 265lbs, with 48" hips. My waist is bigger than the sizing chart suggests, which should have been my first warning. The sizing chart suggests a very traditionally AFAB sizing, with waist sizes smaller than hips throughout the sizing. That's just NOT how many trans women are shaped, and is an early indication that this product wasn't designed by us or for us, just marketed at us.
And boy was that right. I got my 2 pair, tried on one, it fit okay but rose so low that it could barely cover my fupa. The rise was such that I couldn't take 30 steps without it descending around my thighs. I took advantage of the first try on to get a pair of 3X for free, and returned the second pair.
The 3X barely rose any more. So I used my exchange credit for a third, 4X. Nope. 4X is frankly worse than the 3X, as it's too loose around the hip. All three sizes have a rise that seems so low it can't possibly have been fit tested on the body of any 2-4X trans woman I know.
It is simply badly designed. None of the tucking bikinis in this size range are worth your cash. Spend your money with a company that actually designs for big people, and doesn't just toss a wider waistband on their product and call it good enough for the fatties.”
