“When the chickens finally arrived, they were well packaged, though not as cold as I would have expected — and it was still only mid-morning. Each bird was individually wrapped in thick plastic sealed bags, but upon opening the packaging, there was an unpleasant smell. Not exactly rancid, just… off — as if the chickens had been left out for a while before being sealed. My biggest disappointment came when I opened the first package and found that one of the chicken legs had a break right in the middle with the bone protruding outwards. It’s disheartening to see poor butchering like that — nothing undermines confidence faster than mishandled meat. Thankfully, the remaining three chickens were in good condition.”
