The EinScan Pro 2X 2020 is a professional handheld Structured Light 3D scanner. It is an improved version of the EinScan Pro 2X that boasts a larger scanning area, upgraded Handheld HD scanning mode for better accuracy and speed, and new alignment modes that let you align the data based on features as well as markers. Efficient and versatile, the scanner is extremely easy to use, besides, it comes ready to scan out of the box. Its handy and lightweight design makes it easily transportable, just like a laptop. As part of the 2X series, which also includes the Pro 2X Plus version, the EinScan Pro 2X 2020 boasts its fast scan speed, high accuracy, and expandability. It is a high-precision 3D scanner that creates astonishingly accurate renders that reflect all the intricacies of an original. It operates in four different modes and can be expanded with two additional modules to complete an even wider variety of 3D scanning projects. The recommended object size range for the scanner is between 30 and 100 cm. When using the Tripod and the Turntable Add-On, you can scan objects between 3 and 30 cm.

“Purchased this unit for reverse-engineering parts at our workshop. The Geomagic Essentials and SolidEdge combo works really well. I'm impressed we got a full suite of tools for such a low price. With the turntable the process has been rather straightforward and accurate, it took some trial and error, but at the moment we got quite skilled in getting our scans quickly and with a sufficient level of detail. The major bottleneck has been dark and metal surfaces, we are managing it with the scanning spray and baby powder, and the results are ok, but the additional deviations we're getting result in us spending more time on re-measuring everything manually. As far as I know, this is much less of a problem with laser scanning, but we're not prepared to pay $30K for such a device. For what it's worth, the Pro2X has been a great tool.”

“Great device! We use it as part of our curriculum on product design and innovation, and it's been a great tool in teaching students on how to create digital replicas of physical designs, the limitations of structured light and laser 3D scanning, and the ethical issues that arise when we're using digital technologies for innovation. Both students and our teaching staff love it, and their support has been great.”
