“I am not here to review the skirt...why? Because I never got to wear the skirt.
Sit back and enjoy this tale of woe, and then decide if you want to purchase something from TWW online.
Let me start by saying, the staff at the Wollongong and Kirrawee stores could not have been nicer or more helpful. I would recommend those stores for shopping in store.
My issue is with TWW online.
I was invited to a reception at NSW Government House, and needed to purchase a navy skirt to wear with an emergency service dress uniform. I called the Wollongong store to see if they had any stock, which they didnt, but very nice and helpful in my dealings with them.
I then ordered 2 skirts online of different sizes, as there were no size charts for that brand on the website. I planned to return the incorrect one. I ordered them with 2 weeks notice, on a MONDAY.
On the THURSDAY, 'they' were delivered, but, they actually weren't. I recieved a completely different order. I called the customer service line as was promptly transferred to the Phillipines where I explained what had happened and that I needed the skirts put in the post that day, in order for them to arrive on time. I was promised that this would happen. I was also to receive a return label via email to return the incorrect order.
The following MONDAY (week of reception, on Friday), I called to say that I hadn't received the return mailing information and to check if the skirts had been posted. Again, transferred to the Phillipines, I was told that they wouldn't be sent until the return had been recieved. I was highly stressed at this point, as no one had any skirts in stock that I could buy in store, and I would be seeing the Governer of NSW in no skirt, no pants, just a shirt! I again explained the situation, and was assured that the skirts would in fact be mailed on MONDAY. I received the return mailing label and sent the incorrect order back that day.
I then heard nothing about a tracking ID. I called back on WEDNESDAY, again, speaking to the Phillipines, and explained again what the issue was. The skirts were being posted on Wednesday...coming from Melbourne with no way to Express Post them...I explained again that I needed them for FRIDAY, to no avail.
THURSDAY I spent the day on the phone calling everyone I could think of from KMart to David Jones to try and find a skirt, again, to no avail. I was planning on purchasing fabric to sew one at this point, when a local uniform company found a sample that I could try on. I left work early to go and see them, and thankfully the skirt fitted! It cost me $112! This skirt cost me $39...
The skirts finally arrived the following TUESDAY, days after the reception. I had to call the Phillipines back to organise a return and a refund, which I STILL do not have! Happy to take my money, not so happy to give it back.
So I say to you, think before you purchase online from TWW. Customer service is appalling to say the least. I cannot believe a company of this size owned by one of the largest retailers in the country would outsource their customer care department to overseas. It's far from good enough! Do better TWW and give me my money back please!”
