Truffles were dry spongy, tasteless and odourless. Out of the package and straight to the bin.
I have contacted customer service to check how they would put things right but did not even bother to reply.”

“First time tasting fresh truffles and l wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful flavour and aroma. 50g is a good size to be able to use up in a week as suggested. Used with a mushroom risotto grating some into the rice at the end of cooking and then slicing some over the top - yum!!”
“I would have given only one star, but the free gifts of truffle butter and mustard that came with them were partial compensation for an otherwise disappointing experience. I had never tasted black truffles before, so was very excited when they arrived. The ice in the packaging box had melted, so I don't know whether they hadn't stayed cool enough, but when I grated them onto scrambled egg I could taste nothing other than scrambled egg. I tried the next day with smoked salmon, but found no flavour differentail at all. I had carefully followed all the instructions about rinsing them in cold water, wrapping them in kitchen paper and storing them in the fridge, but there was hardly any aroma and virtually no flavour. I had expected something really special but the experience was a huge disappointment.”
